Bird control in aviation is highly important and if not monitored can be expensive and injurious.
A bird strike occurs when a bird or a flock of birds collide with an aircraft, mostly within 150m off the ground, often during take-off or landing. Any species of bird can cause a bird strike, and at any time. Bird strikes can result in extensive damage and fatalities, and are extremely expensive.
Protecting against bird strikes are a requirement of the airports. Products such as the Bird Eraser, Pyrotechnics and Remote Controlled Purivox Carousel are ideal for this, as they are controlled from a distance, and can be used whenever required.
It is also important to protect hangars, terminals, and baggage handling areas as bird droppings are corrosive, contaminating, and pose a health and safety risk. See our page on birds in buildings for more information.
